Directions to our Consett Centre

Our Consett centre is situated in the Walled Garden within the grounds of the Minsteracres Retreat Centre. The main road which runs past our site is the A68.
Travelling on the A68 from the Consett direction
- Proceed on the A68 down to Allensford Bank. Continue further on until you pass the "Carterway Heads" junction, Manor House Inn and bear right down to Kiln Pitt Hill.
- Here the A68 begins to decline steeply and signs for "Minsteracres Retreat Centre" will soon be seen.
- At this point begin to slow for a sharp left turn off the A68 and proceed through the stone pillar entrance of the Minsteracres estate and up the single track driveway.

Travelling from the A69 Hexham and Newcastle road
- At the Styford roundabout take the left exit sign posted "The South Darlington A68."
- Continue on to the “Broomhaugh” roundabout. Proceed straight onto the A68, climbing upwards. Continue passing the turn offs for Broomley and Healey.
- Further on the road will begin to drop down to "Scales Cross" junction. Begin to slow as just beyond the junction the road narrows. You will see signposts pointing right for "Minsteracres Retreat Centre"
- Turn right off the A68 immediately after the road narrows and proceed through the stone pillar entrance of the Minsteracres estate and up the single track driveway.
- Follow directions as per step 3
Minsteracres driveway
- Continue up the driveway passing the magnificent California Giant Redwood trees on either side of the road.
- Beyond the Redwoods the road bends slightly to the right where you will see the signs pointing to Daybreak.
- Turn right off the driveway and follow the road around the walled garden along to the car park.
